John Ikeda-Williams – JIW School of English

This is not casual English practice.

Many highly capable professionals are not limited by English itself. The real issue is often how their ideas are structured, prioritized, and understood by international audiences.

I focus on the communication signals that affect credibility: clarity under pressure, executive presence, stakeholder communication, presentation control, and the ability to respond clearly when the situation is uncertain.

  • Structural clarity — organize ideas so listeners understand your point quickly
  • Authority under pressure — respond clearly to interruptions, pushback, and follow-up questions
  • Stakeholder communication — adapt your message to different audiences and expectations
  • Executive presence — speak with calm pacing, control, and professional credibility
  • Listener trust — reduce ambiguity, contradiction, and unnecessary cognitive effort

Pressure reveals communication structure.

Many professionals already possess strong technical expertise, valuable ideas, and years of experience. However, communication often changes dramatically under pressure.

Structure weakens. Prioritization collapses. Important ideas become buried inside explanation. Follow-up questions become difficult. Communication becomes reactive instead of strategic.

The issue is often not intelligence — or even English itself. It is communication performance under pressure.

The Executive Performance Diagnostic is designed to identify these hidden communication patterns and reveal what is currently limiting clarity, authority, and executive presence.

How the engagement works

I work with a limited number of clients so the training can be precise, direct, and closely connected to real professional situations.

  1. Executive Performance Diagnostic — identify the communication patterns limiting clarity, authority, or trust
  2. 90-Day Program — structured, high-frequency coaching based on your real work situations
  3. Re-evaluation — compare baseline performance with measurable improvement after training

The diagnostic is the entry point. It is designed to identify where communication weakens under pressure and which training priorities will create the greatest professional improvement.

  • Performance interview based on your real work context
  • Structured speaking task to assess clarity, prioritization, and organization
  • Pressure simulation with interruptions, pushback, and follow-up questions
  • Initial diagnostic observations and prioritized development areas
  • Written Executive Performance Diagnostic summary after the session

I don’t offer trial lessons. The diagnostic is a professional assessment and the gateway to the program.

90-Day Executive Performance Program

A structured three-month engagement designed for measurable improvement. Your real meetings, presentations, stakeholder discussions, interviews, and Q&A situations become the training material.

Intensity

  • 2 sessions per week for high-frequency correction and repetition
  • Direct feedback on structure, logic, tone, examples, and delivery
  • Targeted drills based on your current constraints
  • Preparation and accountability between sessions

90-day structure

  • Phase 1: structural stability — answer first, organize logic, reduce hesitation
  • Phase 2: pressure and reasoning — handle pushback, unfamiliar topics, and stakeholder questions
  • Phase 3: executive delivery — improve presentation control, Q&A performance, pacing, and authority

Re-evaluation at Week 12. Baseline → training priorities → measured improvement.

What I assess

Improvement is not a feeling. I evaluate the performance signals that shape how international audiences understand and trust your message.

  • Message clarity and communication structure
  • Prioritization under pressure
  • Strategic reasoning and decision clarity
  • Use of concrete examples and persuasive framing
  • Stakeholder awareness and audience adaptation
  • Communication stability during follow-up questions
  • Professional tone, pacing, and delivery
  • Executive presence and perceived authority
